2/50+ PIECES (earrings, necklaces, bracelets) of my jewelry line: NOHANA
They will be sold all across America on the:
NO BUMMER SUMMER AMERICAN C I G A R E T T E TOUR.
These specific pieces are made from the dried acrylic paints I scraped from the palettes of my students at the Montessori I worked at as an art teacher. I knew I wanted to use them somehow, but just couldn't figure it out, until it just came to me. They are sewn with thread to genuine leather and are paired with crystals, turquoise and/or red coral.

THIS IS ANDREW

A few weeks ago, I took my kids on a field trip to the African Art Museum and on our journey back on the metro, I misplaced/forgot/left my iPhone, MARC train pass, and Smartrip. It was quite devastating when I realized these things had been lost and on top of that the Metro workers were difficult and unwilling to actually help. As I rationalized how I had forgotten these things (I was more attentive to a child instead of my things) I was suggested to call my phone. I called my phone and less than a minute later, Andrew was on the other end saying that he had found my things on the Metro and was wondering when it would be a good time to give them back. It was an incredible relief. I should add that before I called my phone, Andrew had friend requested me on Facebook - with eleven mutual friends, I thought "why not?" even though I had no idea who he was. Anyway, the point of this blog post, well there are many:

1) There is hope in the world and people still do good deeds like return what is not theirs
2) Paying it forward always pays off
3) Social networking sites can be used for magical things
4) It's a small world after all
5) I wanted to share Andrew's project: VITAMIN WATER UNCAPPED, which is a month long music, art, and fun event he planned. Check it out if you are in the Washington D.C. area!!! And last but not least,
6) MANY MANY THANK YOUS + ALL THE MAHALO AND ALOHA TO ANDREW. Your selfless deed of returning my things saved me some heartache, a good amount of money, and really put some of my faith back in the human race.

THANK YOU
