I was asked about a month ago by the lovely+very talented, Melody Gulick, who I had not even met yet, "hey, wanna model for some jewelry?"...I answered "yeah! why not!?" or something like that, ha! A few weeks passed, got some e-mails, went shopping+grabbed some wine with Ashley Jerman, the designer (and whoa, what a total spark of light!). NO ONE could have prepped me for how magical+beautiful this shoot would be! The whole team was amazing! Not only sweet, but hardworking and so creative! Vision+talent that I totally respect! It was a very surreal experience for me. I am grateful for the opportunity to shed some self-doubt/self-consciousness and visually represent a brand/work that respects+desires to represent women out of the "norm" (not skinny, not white, not tall / NOT A "MODEL"). BREAK THE MOLD/BORN THIS WAY --> BE MORE/FEAR LESS! 2013, baby!

I was able to visit the Vatican in all it's glory in my younger twenties. I have to say that although I was very fortunate to experience the reality of images and history many never see in real life, I felt nauseous the whole entire time. My spirit was not alive there at all and from that day forward, I knew with all my heart that not even this big, expensive, filled, ornate, and historical religious establishment could bring me close to *God*, not even a little bit. And how it's "worked" for others - you can be the judge of that. What brings us closer to our spirituality is our internal temple. So, let me thank the Vatican for serving as a good example of the greed and humility of humanity in religion. See you never, Pope.
